this one was supposed to be finished a week ago, but with the sudden onslaught of winter quarter i haven't had a chance to touch it. i'll update if i do get around to finishing it. until then...
**edit: updated image (click it for a better resolution)
one more quicksketch (this ones sorta inspired by i am legend-- a surprisingly good movie), i'll probably flesh it out some more in the morning. as for now....
i've been doing a lot of portrait studies lately. the master of the human face and form, Norman Rockwell, has been a huge inspiration since i picked up his book "332 magazine covers". i'll post more from my actual sketchbook when i get some scan time. i also got a couple digital paintings i'm working on, they'll be up within the next week or so depending on school. in the meantime here's a warm-up for tonight's artful festivities.
broke out the prisma markers before they dried up. these are just some more figure studies, about 1 minute each. i got a million others but didn't wanna get too repetitive on here.
On a side note, i bought some water colors and acrylics the other day, i'll show em off when i get some time to paint later in the week.
scanner is down at the moment (hopefully i'll get a new one within the week) In the mean time, here's an old Bush caricature i did a few months ago. the background is just some photoshop brushes i had been playin' around with. enjoy (and check back for updates in the next couple days or so).
ok ok, so i didn't model this beast... But i did texture, light, and badass-ify it (model provided by DigitalTutors.com). Completed for Materials and Lighting Class.
By the way, hopefully with the break coming up i'll get a chance to post some more stuff I been working on. I sketched a tough-lookin soldier guy earlier this morning that i will eventually model in zBrush this xmas. I'll keep ya posted. thanks for lookin'
PS: just picked up Cartoon Modern by Amid Amidi and wow.. dont own it? drop everything and buy it. i have a feeling it's gonna revolutionize my drawing skills
revised living room background (for a current work in progress). At the moment i'm learning the in's and out's of photoshop's stock brushes (need to get my hands on PainterX).
been working on some backgrounds for a short i'm making, it's based on a _______ that sells ______. anyways, here's a "color test" for one of the living room scenes.
